If the sloping isn't too bad, Why not use a concrete based floor leveling agent and then
do subfloor wood flooring over the top to level it?

If you are looking for more of a long term fix what I found works well is replacing the
subfloor by gluing and screwing the sheathing down and rather than putting down carpet I called out my masonry contractor to
do an overlay.

I would never use a glue down of any sort, not only
does it require more prep and better
subfloor than floating, but removing it is a bear.
We are
doing an attic renovation and keeping the existing
subfloors.
Anyway......... no suggestions for your floors — our
subfloors are warped because the previous owners «rigged» every.single.thing they
did...........
You could start with the scarred up hard wood floors if you choose to redo the living room, master bedroom or empty nest room that we would love to convert to guest room / library / work out room or perhaps you'd be interested in making the
subflooring in the dining room look amazing with a cheap but inspired DIY magic redo or maybe my collection of antique mantels will inspire you to
do what has never been
done before in home design... who knows?
