Peter does teach that baptism saves us, a careful study of the context reveals that
Peter is not talking
about gaining eternal life and going to heaven when we die.
Peter's joyful reaction to the unexpected faith of Cornelius best describes my reaction to what Scripture says
about the unevangelized: «I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and
does what is right is welcome to Him.»
McKnight
does a masterful job defining and defending this understanding of «Gospel» and includes chapters
about the Gospel that Jesus preached, the Gospel that Paul preached, and the Gospel that
Peter and the other apostles preach, and how this understanding of «Gospel» shows that they all preached, proclaimed, and lived the same gospel.

Peter's as the new Bishop of Rome.

pet peeves, filled with just a bit to much anger.
For example,
Peter said, «We didn't follow cleverly devised tales when we told you
about the power and coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His Majesty» (2 Pet.
You make a fool out of yourself with a straw man
about married priests though its funny you didn't talk to
Peter's wife.
And certainly
Peter did not go
about giving a historical lecture on the life and teaching of Jesus.
We don't have many details
about P and A. To many of us, they're just footnotes in the bigger stories
about Paul,
Peter, John, and Barnabas.

do a bit of deconstructing.

about marriage to be applicable, «Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate» and echo
Peter's rhetorical question, «Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water?
When it was proven that
Peter Popoff was using radios to fool people into believing that the Spirit was communicating secrets
about his audience to him it could still be argued that he
did so to demonstrate God's power.
