working in a new area of an industry which transfers well to the reality TV market.

I
work with mainly self - published authors and when I send out review requests on their behalf I make it a point to read every policy and be sure as much as I can that the
blogger does want requests.
A number like «10,000 Facebook fans» is the easiest way to quickly establish a data point about whether an
blogger's
work is resonating
with readers, but it doesn't tell the whole story.
When I individually look for
bloggers for a book I take care to read the entire review policy and try my best to match up books
with those who will enjoy the read (it doesn't always
work but I think putting in the effort is important).
But yes lots of
bloggers get so overwhelmed
with requests they have to draw lines to cut back, but the point of this post is just because they may not accept requests that
does not mean they
do not read self - published
work so we should encourage that by creating better quality self - published
work and keeping up the professional standards of conduct.

did not even manage to list one positive experience you had
with the blog tour, stops, or
bloggers your
worked with.

The way I got into self - publishing myself was through the cooperation
with self - published British author and
blogger Joanna Penn on a split - royalty basis, because I knew I could learn a lot about the process by
doing this and here is a link to an interview she
did with me regarding my
work.

with book marketing.
About ebooks — I have chronic migraines and although I know of a few other
bloggers who have the same issue as I
do with migraines, they found a way to read ebooks whereas I found I can not read on digital screens for the length it takes to read a novel or a
work of Non-Fiction.
We've
done a lot of
work with book
bloggers in this area to help spread the word.
But what indie writers would be interested in — at least this one — is professional help
with gaining exposure in those areas that can actually
do indie writers some good: identifying key book - review
bloggers by genre, sorting through the maze of sites that offer paid advertising, and knowing which ones are the best bet for a particular author's
work, helping
with ad language, etc..
However, when I recently
did a search of book
bloggers in India, I found an enormous list
with bloggers who were quite serious about their
work.
