I played through KONA on my Nintendo Switch mostly in
docked mode because it is a port from PC and I felt that the game should be played on a big screen.

I was worried that the performance of the game might suffer due to the transition to Switch and
because of the higher resolution in
Docked mode, which is pretty close to the Xbox One and PS4 version that run at 1080p.
Overall, the desktop UI feels workable when you're using the Vivo Tab with the slate
docked, but feels antiquated in slate
mode because it's not as touch - friendly as the rest of the OS.
Because of the way the UIs are designed, this is a smaller problem on 7 - inch tablets primarily used in portrait
mode, and a larger problem on 10 - inch tablets that snap into a landscape
dock.
This is probably
because people will sometimes play the Switch version
docked and thus won't have the touch interface available, though the option would be nice for playing in handheld
mode.
The game boasts both
docked and undocked play, but handheld
mode is preferred
because of the touchscreen controls, especially for the younger crowd.

For the Nexus 5, using the «desktop
dock»
mode is actually easier,
because the coils align perfectly when positioned this way.
