Many of the specs are identical to the excellent Transformer Prime including the comfortable
keyboard dock, quadcore processing power and storage
options (albeit with a lower battery life).
Of course, Transformer has this sexy
keyboard dock option which could be a huge benefit to some users depending on how he / she typically utilizes a tablet.
You'll find a slider, pure slate, and two
keyboard - equipped models (wireless and
docking style), as well as pen input
options aplenty.
Since there is no
docking keyboard, the
options are limited to what can be fit into the tablet chassis.
And the Transformer also has the unique (from a Honeycomb point of view at least)
option of becoming a notebook like machine when
docked into the fully functional
keyboard.
Many have questioned why Asus hasn't included a
keyboard dock to make this a viable portable workstation, but there's nothing to stop you using a Bluetooth
keyboard and there are
options in the settings to control the buttons on an attached mouse, it that's your intention.
The Eee Pad Slider, meanwhile, is similar to the Transformer except that it has a slide - out QWERTY
keyboard instead of the
docking station
option and is 0.66 inches deep.
Control of the
keyboard is fairly light at the moment, with a notification telling you that you are
docked, but giving you no other
options.
My pick of the Android
options would be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10 with the dedicated Bluetooth
keyboard dock / case which you should be able to pick up for around $ 400 The
dock has a fixed - angle tablet stand but when I tested the solution briefly at IFA last year I was quite impressed.
Spec watchers will note the entry - level iPad comes with 16 GB of storage, not 32 GB, and that it wasn't designed to be used with a
keyboard dock, per se (not that there's any shortage of third - party
options).
The
options keyboard dock ads dual USB ports, an SD card slot as well as an additional ten hours of battery life - the tablet itself is claimed to last for up to 10 hours, giving users the ability to remain cordless for a total 20 hours.
It will also come with a convenient
dock with
keyboard, touchpad, other expandability

If you don't want the
option of a
keyboard dock and can afford the extra cost, I would suggest the Motorola XOOM because it feels more comfortable to hold, has a higher quality build, and has not given me any troubles at all using it everyday for two months, whereas the Transformer has frozen up 3 times in the first week.
The ASUS Padfone... is the latest hybrid device from ASUS, it is a nice addition to the Tranformer line up because it is a smartphone with a tablet
docking station with the
option to add in a
keyboard.
The
dock adds another 1.2 pounds to the overall weight of the tablet, but it's still an appealing
option if you crave the tactile feel that only a physical
keyboard can provide.
The Mobile
Dock, redesigned to match the Transformer Pad tablet, provides a highly portable
option for productivity fiends to supplement their tablet with a
keyboard, multitouch trackpad, USB 2.0 port, and SD card slot, plus an additional battery.
Given all of these
options, I'm expecting three things: a variant of the software user interface that further limits users need to input text even more than the iPhone already does; an advanced multi-touch user interface that is optimized for five - finger input; and the
option to use a
keyboard — possibly a new
keyboard that doubles as a
dock — when necessary.

The
dock also lacks any kind of touch pad or even a track point, so your only
option for cursor control is the touch screen on the tablet itself or an external mouse (which would need to be Bluetooth, as the
keyboard dock has no additional connections).
Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book offer two
options, but Lenovo's design is even more wedded to its
keyboard but does» t demand a compromise in portability in the process: it's 14.9 mm thick rather than the 22.8 mm of the Surface Book with
keyboard docked.
Users will be able to choose from two
keyboard dock options.
However, one USB 2.0 port is present on the
keyboard dock with
option to add one more by means of a bundled adapter that plugs into the charging port.
The Google Pixel C is not exactly a new device, this tablet was announced way back at the end of 2015, but it's still a solid tablet
option, especially if you grab a
keyboard dock along with the Pixel C.
