I've been using it for the last few years, and not only
did it get me into
audiobooks, but I am much, much happier
to sit on a train for an hour and a half when I'm
listening to a mystery.

to read on my NOOK and Kindle except where I want an
audiobook companion then I use my iPad for then I can use whispersync
to listen and read at the same time which a feature that
does not exist yet on the new Kindle Oasis.
if they came up with a nook that had a larger screen with sound and the ability
to listen to audiobooks and
do it before Amazon
does I bet it will increase their sales hands down
Audiobooks allow you
to be more active by
doing other things while
listening to books; e.g. driving, walking, riding a bike, cross country skiing, etc... Also a big plus for visually challenged people.

I haven't actually tried this yet, as I don't normally
listen to audiobooks.
I can at least say that I've seen various reviews being piqued that the device doesn't let you
listen to an
audiobook and read the text at the same time.
The nook
does actually have other functionality — it's got rudimentary web access and a couple of games on it, for example, and you're supposed
to be able
to listen to music and
audiobooks as well.
Maybe you
listen to audiobooks — perhaps a Harry Potter book with Jim Dale
doing over 150 different voices — and you think, it's probably much too complicated and expensive.
This means
audiobooks and
listening to songs will never be a part of the Nook 2 experience, but since many people only buy e-readers for a pure reading experience and
do not care about the bells and whistles, lack of audio doesn't have
to be considered a flaw.
Modern day e-readers have
done away with audio functionality and the average person can't even
listen to audiobooks anymore.
The current model has
done away with the 3.5 mm headphone jack, so
listening to music and
audiobooks are obviously out of the question.
Become a master multitasker and
listen to audiobooks while you cook,
do laundry, take a bath or work out.
When you

audiobook, you don't have the advanced features that Audible has.
I would love them
to offer
audiobook and ebook bundles, I switch between reading on my Kobo and

to me for them.

I ONLY really
listen to audiobooks, very rarely
do I read e-books.
As the snobbery surrounding
audiobooks dissipates, and as technology advances, I don't doubt that
audiobooks will continue
to be increasingly impactful on a
listening audience, as new ways of storytelling are explored.
The drawback is that it
does not have speakers or headphones
to listen to audiobooks or music.
I may not use
audiobooks all that much or
listen to music on my dedicated e-reader but having the ability
to do it makes me happy.
How are hardware sales
doing and how many people are
listening to audiobooks?
Listening to an
audiobook while
doing something else is a great way
to multitask, and it's especially satisfying if you get a little bit smarter and more informed while
doing it.
Personally, I don't care for the ability
to listen to audiobooks on an ereader, as my phone is perfect for that, so it's not a selling point.
Unfortunately, we often
do not have time
to read some serious literature that makes you think and we can
listen to audiobook, which isn't the same as mostly we are combining this activity with something else.
Luckily, she can
listen to audiobooks on the go, and has been
doing so for the past 10 years.
Where
do users

I got
to watch lots of Ken Burns, «MythBusters,» a show I didn't even like called «Pawn Stars» and
listen to lots of
audiobooks.
She doesn't remember when she started
listening but can't seem
to get enough of
audiobooks.
Readers who are 55 + tend
to favour print books over ebooks and
do much less
listening of
audiobooks.
