Ask yourself two questions to begin defining your strategy: First, why
does mLearning tie into your learning strategy and second, how can it?
So yes, one should not just
do mlearning for the sake of it.

Reinforcing learning via spaced repetition is critical; but why can
mLearning provide an excellent opportunity to
do this?
One leading advantage of
mLearning is that you
do not require making even the slightest of change in your routine life.
Though internet has been
doing this for a while,
mLearning has invigorated the process to a great extent.
Done well,
mLearning can
do wonders for your organization!
They don't always need to, to be involved in the
mLearning process.
The question is how
does this explosion of
mLearning impact Instructional Design and, indeed, Instructional Designers?
Do we need
mLearning or a learning app?
Do you have staff that not only understand the devices you have determined are being supported, but also understand how to use the
mLearning you are creating?
For starters, Instructional Designers would
do well to recognize that the
mLearning way is different from the eLearning way in some key ways:

We need to continue
doing that or our
mLearning strategy will suffer.Ask yourself and your team the following types of questions:
If you don't have a strategy for support - either internal to the training division or working with the help desk - you are asking for issues that can cause perception of

If a Human Resource manager or a training manager asks me what they could
do to better engage my generation, I would say, give us
mLearning, any day!
I
do agree better research could help both adoption and improvement of
mlearning.
Put yourself in your learners» shoes to remove annoying factors that don't translate well from eLearning to
mLearning.
So we don't stop at eLearning, we provide

Given that you can no longer ignore
mlearning, the question is what are you going to
do about it?
