I was always too sketched out to try the ones from 7 - 11 — I stuck with coffee or, if I happened to be at the one location genius enough to make them, Slurpees made with Crystal Light
pink lemonade — so I didn't have much of a guideline to work with but, if I
do say so myself, these are pretty darn good.
Not only
do the cherries give this
lemonade that nice reddish -
pink hue, it also adds a subtle cherry flavor to this sweet yet tart
lemonade.
As I tend to
do, I got a little carried away with my
pink lemonade studies, curious to see exactly how much of each berry one would need to make a carafe of charmingly tinted
lemonade and now my fridge looks like a flower patch or bridal shower.
But first, how
does lemonade even become
pink?
Does your
lemonade come from a powdered mix that makes the water magically turn yellow (or, * gasp *
pink??)?
It doesn't look much like summer on this icky rainy day, but that doesn't keep me from craving popsicles, refrigerator pies, watermelon, and my favorite summer treat:
pink lemonade!
