I hesitate to recommend an actual brand, especially with the recent

According to current information, Purina Pro Plan
dog food is not involved
in any pet
food recalls, and is not listed on the FDA's pet
food recall list.

food recall list, and has not been involved

By far the most common causes for
recalls are because something that is not supposed to be
in the
dog food is present.
In October 2012, the Wellness Company issued a voluntary
recall for Wellness Small Breed Adult Health Dry
Dog food formula due to possible moisture contamination.
