The
dogs are in homes of volunteer
foster families and the only way to meet them is to start the adoption process by filling out an online
application or joining us during one of our events.
You will receive an automatic response if the
application submitted properly and the
dog's
foster home will be in touch with you within 72 hours.

We do not have a shelter, all of our
dogs are in separate
foster homes, and require an

dog and set up an appointment to meet the

Our
dogs are
fostered at a volunteer's home, therefore meet & greets must be scheduled in advance and only after the
application and approval process has been completed.

Once the
application is approved, we contact your
dog's
foster who will reach out to you with the next step which is usually a home visit.
If you would like to become a
foster parent, you can either download the
Foster Parent
Application form (fill it out then mail it to the shelter), fax it to 508-852-1868 or email it to

[email protected] (for
dogs).

We do our best to match our available
dogs to our
foster homes in terms of what animals already live in the
foster home, activity level, etc; this is why we ask you to fill out this
application.
Once you see the
dog you are interested in, you fill out an
application, which is forwarded to an
application processor, often the
foster home itself.

Animal Aid can not guarantee how long a
dog will be placed with a
foster parent; it is dependent on the adoption
applications submitted.

dogs at shelters, drive

A portion of the
dogs pictured here are in volunteer
foster homes for a rescue, in which case there is usually a phone interview, an adoption
application to fill out and a home check to be done, varying from group to group... most all ask for a fee (average is $ 300 - 450) and have a contract to sign regarding the adoption.

fosters, the cat
foster team will contact you after you fill out an
application; for
dogs, come to the shelter!
Following submission of the adoption
application, we encourage you and the
dog's
foster family to be in contact, as we highly value the input of our
foster families.
Our Adoption Coordinator (and other Board members as necessary) use the information provided on the
application, background check, interviews, vet / reference checks, and home visit to determine an applicant's suitability for adopting or
fostering a
dog.
To
foster / adopt or donate, please fill out and

What happens once an adoption
application is approved for my
foster dog?
We TRY our best to minimize but understand it does take a team to rescue, so expect an adoption
application screening call, possibly a second call from the adoption team if there are further questions, then a call from the team mobilizing the
dog from its
foster to you.
