If you feed
your dog sugary foods like donuts, you have to be even more careful about their oral hygiene — brush their teeth regularly and do your best to give them fibrous treats that are good for their mouth.

We see a lot of dental problems here at BTTR, most commonly in senior
dogs, but also in
dogs as young as 2 when they are feed a poor or low quality diet, fed lots of treats or people
food (especially
sugary stuff) and those who are never given anything to chew on (usually seen in hunt club or outdoor penned
dogs).
You should not give cantaloupe or any other
sugary food items to diabetic
dogs.
It is important to use portion control, avoid
sugary foods, and lower the number of treats you feed your diabetic
dog each day.
Feed your
dog a healthy diet and avoid

dog fried, high - fat, greasy, salty,
