Perhaps materialism was a liberating philosophy when the need was to escape
from dogmas of religion, but today materialism itself is the dogma from which the mind needs to escape.
Bigotry and unprovable / unknowable /
unquestionable dogma of the religions which (many / some) believers may place all of their morality around comepletely, is at the heart of the problem here.
If you have arguments against the philosophy of the Church or
the dogma of the religion, I can respect the difference and argue the points.

Have you stopped and considered that YOU as a person HAVE to conform to
the dogma of your religion if you claim to be a true adherent?
There is a need to have the legal rights of all separate from
the dogma of any religion.
That is the wonder of science over
the dogma of religion.
