doing acceleration tests in the Civic SI would be similar to the Type R, but the only similarity, really, is that we have a six speed in front drive and a turbocharged car.
Has anyone
done an acceleration test yet?
And we'll see how that changes as
we do some acceleration testing.

If these
accelerations do not occur, the
test is said to be «nonreactive.»
So what I
did was I recruited 28
test subjects and had them complete three laps on the game Gran Turismo 3 for PlayStation 2; and they had a steering wheel, an
acceleration [and] brake pad to simulate a real driving experience, and I counted the number of crashes they made during each lap, which was the number of times they hit the wall and also the number of times that they deviated from the course.

A student who hasn't had out - of level achievement
tests loses 14 points, right off the bat, but this
does not eliminate him or her from the possibility of
acceleration.
Just keep in mind that the process for achieving the 3PMSF stamp is quite simple and
does not take into account braking, cornering, or ice performance — it's simply an
acceleration test on medium - packed snow.
This is inherent due to several factors, which include, but are not limited to, atmospheric conditions (temp, barometric readings, etc),

do they place a fan in front of the radiator, how tight
did they tie down the vehicle, etc), type of dyno (eddy current or

In zero - to -60-mph
acceleration runs - and despite 13 - second times posted when Consumer Guide
tested the car - we were unable to
do better than 14 seconds.
On back roads, where thrills, responsiveness and fun are more important than outright measurable speed, the R doesn't feel tremendously better than the $ 28,215 2015 Golf GTI SE
tested in February; both hatches offer excellent, responsive handling and grin - inducing
acceleration.
Unfortunately, the Land Rover was not delivered in time for our instrument
testing, and therefore
did not score any points in
acceleration, braking or RTI portions of the
test.
As we found in our
acceleration tests detailed above, the Si is no drag racer, but it
does step lively.
In our
testing, the g - force meter seemed to show only
acceleration and braking force — lateral movement didn't seem to be represented.
Measuring in - gear
acceleration figures against the Koleos is tricky because of its CVT gearbox, but the 30 - 70mph figure in the Kodiaq was also the fastest on
test — it took eight seconds flat, where the Renault
did it in 9.5 seconds and the Kuga 8.4 seconds.
It was a letdown, since the truck had
done so well on the early off - road trails and had finished average on the
acceleration testing (it beat the F - 150 but got hammered by the Titan).
Though the SHO's
acceleration is strong, it
does not have the same finesse as the Grand Prix GTP, the best car I

No

As we
do with all our
tests, we took both rigs to the dragstrip to develop
acceleration and braking numbers.
We didn't have the chance to
test the eTorque system, but
acceleration on the standalone V8 — which can hit 60 mph from standstill in the late 6 - second range — was quick enough to play a part in upholding the Ram's image as a friendly daily commuter that just happens to pull double duty as a workaholic or adventurer.
This is the second Honda I have
tested recently in which the automatic transmission didn't downshift smoothly upon
acceleration once the vehicle was traveling at speeds between 25 and 40 mph.
Secondly, many of the benchmarks being used in anandtech's
tests do not use hardware
acceleration for the Tegra 2 GPU but they
do for the A5 GPU.
Mind you I would say, even though I haven't
done any
tests, that his claim of an
acceleration in the rate of warming is almost certainly not statistically significant.
As for that famed
acceleration, the stats struck me as accurate: I didn't run any scientific
tests, but it got 0 - 60 in 3.7 - 3.8 seconds by my best count.
