I think that the best way to
do it is to add
fats incrementally, ~ 200 kcal from
fats a week and decrease your protein intake (I suppose your protein intake must be quite
high since your
carbs are
low).
So, if you wanted to eat a
lower carb diet (or just wanted to eat a

higher fat diet), all you'd need to
do is eat at the

I actually didn't know about any research on any of this, I just listened to my body and I noticed that when I ate a lot of
carbs I was bloated and tired and so I stopped gluten and also diary altogether and started putting together foods that felt right... I didn't realise till a couple of years ago when I was

high fat, which according to the course I was
doing was not good for my health — which
did confuse me as I had never felt better in my life.
Just keep the

In terms of sporting performance, i used to
do competitive powerlifting, and i tried a number of
low carb high fat diets (The Anabolic / Metabolic Diet, the Natural hormonal Enhancement diet), each for about 8 months interspersed with a few months of moderate -
high carb dieting, to see what effects they had on my body comp and performance.
2 kg more, the
low fat /
high carb reduced calorie diet I was on (I was marathon training at the time) didn't just mess with my body, it also messed with my mental health badly.
Don't worry, they may taste like a decadent dessert, but they're
low in sugar and
carbs,
high in protein and fiber, and full of antioxidants and healthy
fats.
So I'll skip to the point — I
did some more research on Keto and the big premise was SUPER
low carb,
high fat, moderate protein.
A type 1 diabetic will always need to take insulin as it is necessary to life, but they
do NOT need to become insulin resistant and should be on a
low carb,
high fat diet.
I find it easy to stick to a «Keto» or
low carb /
high fat diet and don't miss
carbs at all (partly because I know the pain of misophonia that comes with them, & to simply just give up
