My upstairs is very similar to yours in terms of geometry and I've been considering
doing planked walls for a while.

I knew I couldn't
do a «real» push up, I couldn't hold a
plank pose or
wall sit longer than thirty seconds, I couldn't run for more than two minutes, and I sure can not handle more than three pound dumbbells.
Squats, tricep dips, lunges, push ups,
wall - sits, calf - raises,
planks and abdominal crunches are some great exercises to
do at home.
Also,
wall sits and
planks, particularly while
doing controlled breathing, are great exercises for this.
What lumber
did you use for your

I've heard of Hardiboard for siding, and so assumed rightly that it is related to your
planked walls, but didn't realize they were a concrete product!
My parents had a wood
plank wall in their old home, but when they built their new house, the didn't include the
planks into the plans.

If you like the way our «wonder
wall» looks, but don't have horizontal
planks hiding beneath your drywall - it would be pretty simple and inexpensive to replicate the look.
We got the cord covers at Home Depot, and I don't * love * that they're visible, but that's what I get for not installing
wall sconces when that

do next is paint the

Currently I want to add a
plank wall and paint out my kitchen cabinets and
do a small Reno to remove the peninsula for an island.
I have had that experience with a
plank wall I
did, nobody else notices these two gaps that I could have fixed but thought I wouldn't notice once all up.
While most of my cabinets were finally painted right before Christmas (along with my family room
walls and trim and part of the horizontal
planking in my little hall) my one «open cabinet» in the kitchen was not able to be painted as it had to have some finishing work
done on the inside of it first.
