Thanks I'm
doing salad in a jar for my Hubby for his lunches so in trying to making our own dressing without all the sugar who see in the market dressings..
I still haven't
done the salad in a jar yet — not sure why.

I store my
salads in a
jar, but don't eat them out of the
jar.
However, he
did not like having a quart size
jar along with a bowl to put the
salad in.
By all means,
do not discard the grainy butter; Keep it
in a separate
jar and use it as a garnish for pancakes, muffins, scrambled eggs,
salads... let your imagination run wild!
I didn't want it taking up space
in the fridge (yesterday was yogurt - making day and
salad jarring day), so I dumped both cans into the food processor.
Dress the
salad with 2 — 3 tbsp of dressing, depending on your tastes (don't over dress) Store excess
in refrigerator
in screw top
jar, give it a good shake when using.
All I have to
do in the mornings is pour the
salad out of a
jar into a 3 1/8 cup glad ware container, tuck the dressing container into the
salad, and place the lid on top.
