dollar strength compared with most other currencies worldwide.

That said, the focus is still on the
Dollar that lost significant ground
compared to the Euro lately, but it showed some
strength in recent weeks.
And the reason is because international hasn't done as well in recent years
compared to domestic funds, and part of the reason is the
strength of the
dollar which has eaten away from the returns when the investments are converted back to USD.
The result is a percentage of return per
dollar invested that can be used to evaluate the
strength of the investment by
comparing it to benchmarks like the returns ratios of similar investments, companies, industries, or markets.
For any money you plan on taking back with you to India in a couple of years, you need to consider whether you expect the U.S.
dollar to gain
strength compared to the Indian rupee, and if so, by enough to make up the difference in interest rates.
