Domestic business
awards are double the
price of economy, so you could get one business class
award seat for 50,000 United miles.
This puts short haul economy
awards within international regions more in - line with
domestic awards which have had reduced
pricing for years.
United's old
pricing was directly in line with what American changes for its
domestic Business Class
awards... but not any longer.
As

I hardly found any
Domestic business class
awards that are reasonably
priced, Delta uses dynamic

domestic award in economy class is 12,500 miles.
One way
awards start at 4,500 Avios for flights outside the U.S. and 7,500 Avios for those originating or terminating in the U.S. Even with the slightly more expensive

I haven't listed economy
prices because many are now somewhat competitive with the US

domestic trip may run you 75,000 miles, although with Delta's dynamic
award pricing many
awards may be much higher.
Airlines using mileage - based programs, on the other hand, limit
award seat available and often only offer them at a fixed
price: i.e., 25,000 miles for a
domestic trip.

pricing at 110,000 miles each way from the U.S. to Europe, the elimination of the low 4,500 Avios level
award band for
domestic short - hops via British Airways, and Southwest points worth less than ever before, it's hard to suggest that Ultimate Rewards still has the strongest stable of transfer partners.
If you have a co-branded American Airlines credit card, such as the Aviator Red MasterCard, the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard or the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard, you can get 7,500 miles off the usual round trip
price of 25,000 miles per

First, Delta has done away with stopovers on
awards, which means that any stop greater than 4 hours on a
domestic trip, or 24 hours on an international itinerary, will cause the journey to be
priced out with an additional segment.
As you saw with the example, it's complicated because while a cash ticket (including those booked through the Ultimate Rewards portal) has all taxes and fees included in the
price, an
award ticket also is charged taxes and fees ($ 5.60 in the case of a
domestic US ticket).
Just like
domestic awards, some
price out at more expensive AAnytime levels to Alaska and Canada and should also be avoided.
Pricing of short distance
domestic awards was an area American Airlines was lagging in previously.
Other times, the
award ticket
