There are three systems that will go into the building: A solar photovoltaic tracker, a photovoltaic panel array, and a solar thermal
domestic hot water system.
They are designing and supplying photovoltaic and a solar thermal
domestic hot water system for the house.

system usually over a 100m deep and usually two or three or more borehole probes are inserted into these wells and absorb the energy in the ground transferring it via the heat pump into the home for use in heating and

systems to $ 1800 — $ 4000 for professionally installed
systems, depending on the size.

system of Figure 5.9 also has the advantage of being easily adapted to combination space and
domestic hot water heating applications as shown in Figure 5.2 In that configuration, the storage tank needs to have 2 additional side ports available for the pumped loop to the
hot water coil in the space heating process air stream.
The prototype
system is also expected to reduce inefficient tankless
hot water heater cycling and reduce
hot water use while improving temperature control at the
domestic taps.
The first phase was heated by a communal heating
system consisting of two Alpha Therm condensing gas boilers and
hot water cylinders, and the new phase taps into this resource for
domestic hot water supply.
The main focus for this research project is the integration of a combination space and
domestic hot water heating
system («combi
system») with a high - efficiency air source heat pump to optimize efficiency and comfort.
The prototype
system which couples a solar
hot water heater with a tankless
water heater plus small storage tank and circulator, is expected to provide energy savings,
water savings, and increased temperature control at the
domestic taps at a small incremental cost relative to the same solar
hot water heater coupled with only a tankless
water heater.

system, unveiled at a grand opening recently by Marshall Homes, Clean Energy Developments and the Canadian Geoexchange Coalition (CGC), uses free, renewable heat energy from the sun and below ground to power a home's heating, ventilation and air conditioning
systems, as well as meeting its
domestic hot water needs.
