The book was particularly to address the rapidly expanding group of self - published or
independent authors — but what
author doesn't want to sell more books, even those commissioned
by traditional publishers?
I won't deny Amazon has pushed the industry to become much more open to indies, and has empowered us
by giving power to
independent authors and publishers where there was little before, but that doesn't mean we should let Amazon off the hook with nearly anything.
