do tend to get a little more into
fall colors as the season progresses and you can see how I've used those
colors in this simple but elegant
fall mantel and this romantic autumn table setting for two.
I'm not fond of orange either and have none
in my home decor (or closet) but being a retired preschool teacher whose classroom was full of typical
Fall colors I have to include oranges, maroons, and yellows for awhile or it just doesn't seem like I'm welcoming the season.
As for
fall colors in decor, I find there's still a nice way to use the actual
colors of the season, as long as you don't use them all together.
Doing the same here
in Texas and pulling out some
fall color but still
in cool fabrics because it is still hot, hot, hot!

I wasn't sure if I was going to find the right pair (the «thong» style sandals aren't my favorite, though I
do wear flip - flops every once

I don't even like
color and some how I keep
falling for orange
in this room the past two
fall seasons.
Because the face doesn't have much
color here, the eyes have a bit of
color so everything doesn't
fall flat - you want to keep a bit of dimension somewhere
in the look.
While I
do tend to wear more brighter

color from accessories, so when I found this orange scarf I

red is so popular this season and i have to admit it would not have been my go - to
color for
fall or winter because i'm not a huge fan of bright
colors, buuuuut i
do love a good red piece
in my wardrobe.
First, I love the
color, perfect for the
fall / winter and I don't own too much
in this
color.
So I totally didn't
do this fun room justice because I am way too serious to
do silly poses where it looks like you are
falling down into a hole... the room was specifically designed for that but instead I stuck with the traditional blogger pose
in front of a
colored wall haha!!
I think you
did a fabulous job bringing
fall into your dining room without taking away from the beautiful
colors you've already chosen
in that room.
The best way to incorporate
color that
falls dormant under a blanket of snowy white, is found
in the accessories and the layers that I pile on top of all that black, like I
did with this amazing red coat!
Stupidly, for some reason I went online to look at it, I think I wanted to see if it came
in other
colors (it
does, a wine and mustard that are perfect for
fall) or something and I realized, it's not supposed to be wrinkly.

I felt myself gravitate more towards the neutral outfits, but I
did fall in love with some
colored looks.
We have actually started
doing the «3 dot» technique, but adding
in 3 more dots of Lip Fixation
in the new
fall color Mania
in addition to the Passion, resulting
in a great peachy - red glam look!
While I
do own a couple solid
color scarves for just this occasion, I have
