I just replaced the water pump new and took out the thermostat because it was stuck closed and didn't have the 40 bucks for a new one yet.

Tony Patterson 2 years ago i have the same problem, i have replaced water pump, power steering pump, oil pump, harmonic balancer, timing chain tensioner, new belt, new plugs and still knocking, does anybody have a f# #king clue, ive spent 1300.00 chasing this knock, i can buy a rebuilt motor for 1500.00, anybody know what the fix is???

The new one did nothing wrong but to pump water into the already cracked / warped engine.

It doesn't set well with me and my question is if the new water pump was somehow installed improperly at the service department could that have contributed or been the cause?

Issues: Head gasket, Water pump, Steering rack (I was told I now need anther one) Valve covers needed new seals, Tie rods on both sides, Power side doors - one does not work and the other needs replacement motor, Air Conditioning - Dodge paid for part of the repair because issue was the design with mis - matched metals that causes leaks, Van is rusting and dealer repaired under warranty but not all rust issues, ignition harness, starter - I have no more space but more issues!!
