"DoNut molds" refers to a type of baking tool or equipment used to shape dough into circular donut shapes before they are cooked or fried.
Full definition
Pour batter into spring form pan or spoon evenly
into donut mold, filling nearly full.
But in the past five years or so, gourmet donuts have become a thing, and so have cute
little donut mold pans.
Since my kitchen is void
of donut molds, and since our fearless Foodie Underground columnist Anna, sent me a Nutella Donut Muffin recipe with a Vegan This dare, I made these donuts muffin - style, with no regrets.
I typically use
a donut mold when I make my own donuts.
Pour batter amongst 4
donut molds.
Spray
a donut mold pan with nonstick spray.
Spoon into
each donut mold until 3/4 full (this will allow for some expansion room).
I needed the dough to be a little runnier so I just added 1 c of buttermilk to the batter and baked them in
a donut molds.
Pour the batter into
the donut mold.
Coat your chosen pan with a baking spray or coconut oil (8 - 9 inch springform,
donut mold, or muffin tin for cupcakes, or use liners).
I didn't have
donut molds, so I used this recipe as chocolate cake.
I made a little adjustment, I didn't have
the donut mold since I couldn't wait to get one I used a mini cupcake silicon mold, the tiny things were deliciously gorgeous, thanks for sharing, can't wait to try more recipes:)
I use 2
donut molds and I do not fill the empty molds with water — works just fine!
