The union, which represents more than 70,000 workers in New York, is endorsing Schneiderman at City Hall in Manhattan this morning and has pledged to do a
voter outreach campaign — including mailings,
door - to -
door canvassing and member mobilization — in support of Schneiderman's election.
Traditional
outreach such as
door to
door canvasing and television advertising still play a major role in gaining public support but these techniques will not appeal to the younger
voter, and therefore will not be sustainable for much longer.
