cabergoline, etc.) to more rapidly stop milk production.
The same is true of a similar medication called
cabergoline (once sold under the brand name Dostinex but now available only in generic form).
A newer medication,
cabergoline (Dostinex) is considered much safer for lactation suppression, but as always, the natural route is the better way to go if you can do it.
The drug
cabergoline has proved safer and might be used for lactation suppression in certain situations, although it isn't approved for this use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Two medicines, bromocriptine and
cabergoline, can treat pituitary tumors by reducing the amount of prolactin in your system.
Less cramping and vomiting is associated with
cabergoline over bromocriptine but the cost is substantially higher.
