By that nature, i think one more year would make a difference —

Agreed, the only way I could see us picking WR with the # 9 is
if this is a historically bad
draft class.

class is I haven't looked yet but most here are saying Jackson would be QB 1
if in next yrs
draft so it most likely wouldn't happen.
Now considering that same logic, teams bidding for this
class of now declared FAs should be limited under the current IFA rules — i.e.
if a team was under the 300k restriction for the 2016
draft class, then they should only be able to offer this FA
class of prospects 300k MAX.
I understand you definitely want offensive upside at the very top of the
draft if possible but, in this particular
class, that may not be the best idea
if the Hawks fall where they are projected to fall (3 through 5).
They desperately need another scorer to compliment Deron Williams, (
if he stays with the organization) and Harrison Barnes is the most polished player in this
draft class.
It is pretty important that we at least try,
if the
draft falls the right way, to get our Taylor Lewan of EDGE players in this
class.
So
if you believe that
draft board accurately reflects the value of this year's
class of centers, then it's a reach to select Price with the first pick in the second round.
Even though he was a relative disappointment,
if you redo that 2013
draft now, he probably still goes in the first, because I think being an above - average guard still puts him in the top 32 of that historically bad
class.
I like some of the DTs in this
class and I wouldn't be surprised
if Ballard picks one to pair with whoever he is going to
draft in the 1st round next year.
But even
if the Giants don't land the top running back in the
draft class, they could probably find a player capable of replacing Stewart's production in the later rounds.
