I love Meet the Parents and don't mind him dabbling in that kind of crowd - pleasing
comedy, but I see every movie he
does hoping that he might find the meaningful,
dramatic glory he has long deserved as much as any actor.
Often you'll see a
comedy nominee submit a more
dramatic episode (Sarah Jessica Parker
did for Sex and the City and won) to show range but that doesn't always work.
The man is best known as a writer / director of
