The last years of Vandenberg's artistic output were marked by intense investigations into the intersections of language, text and color that produced multi-layered and rich drawings, paintings and book projects and are now part of a titillating exhibition curated by the director of the CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art, Anthony Huberman.

Instead, he appears to have derived his «projections» by drawing a line from 2002 to a selection of real projections in 2100 and ignoring the fact that the actual projections accelerate as time goes on, and thus strongly over-estimating the projected changes that are expected now (see here).
Over two - thirds of the 151 projects on the drawing board in May 2007 have been cancelled, and over 100 existing plants are now scheduled for retirement.
