The exhibition Prospects and Interiors looked at
drawings by contemporary sculptors that depicted the idea of «interior space».
We began at the Nasher with a brief but very interesting gallery talk on their retrospective of
drawings by contemporary British artist Rachel Whiteread.
Creating a visual dialogue across a century,
drawings by contemporary Bay Area artist Andrew Schoultz respond to the inventive works of Swiss - born Modernist Paul Klee, which are featured on an ongoing basis in SFMOMA's Djerassi Gallery.

Those numbers were far diminished from what the show
drew in its heyday, but they remain respectable
by contemporary standards, with delayed viewing and increased competition applying downward pressure on live ratings across television.
Drawn from learning that is both vast and profound, the rich details and frequently exciting flashes of insight provided
by this work confirm the stature of Robert Jenson among
contemporary theologians» a stature that, it seems to this foreign observer, is not sufficiently recognized in American theology.
His uncompromising sermons on «The Sins of Society» attracted large audiences; they also
drew criticism, and he was described
by a
contemporary as a modern Savonarola.
In this story these characters and their situation are not depicted
by analogy but directly, and, in consequence, the hearers are not left to
draw their own conclusions, but rather are challenged
by the direct statement: «I tell you...» The challenge is the one we have seen throughout this group of parables, the fundamental challenge of Jesus to his hostile

drawn into bruising fistfights and games of chicken with large vehicles and machinery.
Christian Petzold's last film, the masterful Phoenix,
drew complex undercurrents of suspicion, psychological unease, and suspense (not to mention one of the greatest endings in
contemporary film) out of the noirish story of a disfigured Holocaust survivor who returns to post-war Berlin and is roped into a scheme
by the husband who mistakes her for a stranger.
Aside from a few mentions of political buzzword terms such as «Supreme Leader», the script
by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan largely abstains from
drawing parallels to
contemporary geopolitical history, which should be music to the ears of those who found the Jihadist parable at the centre of Star Trek Into Darkness to be supremely distasteful.
Whilst, slightly more seriously, the British library's highlighting of the last surviving scrap of handwritten Shakespeare script (from the play «Thomas Moore»
by contemporary Anthony Munday, with contributions from the bard and others) on its Discovering Literature website
drew plenty of comment on its relevance to the current refugee crisis.

drawn attention to this issue: Timandra Whitecastle — whose grimdark debut Touch of Iron aims to redefine «strong» female characters — recently expressed similar views about the frustrations caused
by those who insist upon such a divide.
My favorite, which was released recently is Archaeology, Anthropology and Interstellar Communication and edited
by SETI Director of Interstellar Message Composition Douglas Vakoch, the document
draws on «issues at the core of
contemporary archaeology and anthropology» to prepare us «for contact with an extraterrestrial civilization, should that day ever come.»
