In putting together my editorial calendar for Blogtober 2017, I decided I wanted to put together a collage of sorts, featuring some of my previous
dress form outfits.
If you read or follow my blog, you know that almost every week last year I posted a «
Dress Form Outfit.»
When I started blogging back at the beginning of 2012, my antique dress form was featured in a weekly «
dress form outfit» post and showed a different outfit every week.
Not exact matches
In the 1960s, The Jetsons introduced TV viewers to the idea of a home robot in the
form of Rosey, a humanoid machine
dressed in a French maid's
outfit.
Dressing up in sexy
outfits can be fun and take many
forms.
So I got inspired to featured a couple of
outfits on my
dress form — one for day and the other for night.
In this
outfit, I wore a
form fitting
dress but due to my outer layer I didn't have to worry about sucking in a food baby after lunch or whether my underwear lines were showing.
Black doesn't just look good on leather and in the
form of a little
dress, it looks even better on you when you step out of your comfort zone on a party season with this kind of figure - flattering
outfit that will turn heads for all of the right reasons.
Staples are ideal when you want the rest of your
outfit to be the star — if the
dress is some amazing novelty print or you have a lot of errands to run and therefore require function over
form.
Having a
dress form in a
dressing room like this is perfect, especially when you're trying to put an
outfit together.
After the post I really felt like showing you this as well in the
form of an
outfit post — because there are so many great ways to style a red
dress!
A black wool
dress is a great staple to have in the wardrobe and can
form the basis of many
outfits whether casual or a little more dressy.
She donned a
form - fitting leather tube
dress with mostly silver accessories and giant platform sandals that took her
outfit to an elevated level.

My venture into
form - fitting
dresses & tight, leather jackets was a fun little run... but, it's nice to get back to a very «me» type of
outfit.
If I'd gone out and bought the same
dress and bag and scarf and created an exact duplicate of her
outfit, that's imitation... and these days I don't know that most people are all that flattered by that (imitation may not be the sincerest
form of flattery) imitation.
And when she arrived and reminded me so of the
dress forms that would sit in the corner of our costume room all those years ago, whispering of past and present and possibilities that would appear on that stage each night, I knew the perfect
outfit was born.
There were head - to - prints in the
form of tea
dresses and two - piece suits,
outfits made up of mismatched motifs, as well as all sorts of stripes, which proved to be popular at Berlin Fashion Week, too.

Accessorised with a pair of fiercely feminine platform heels and a gold - tipped leather belt, this
outfit is the perfect compromise between sharp suiting and

Mario, able to buy new
outfits and toss his now - living cap onto enemies and objects to temporarily steal their
form, quickly ditches his familiar overalls to
dress as a clown, businessman, or much, much else.
Among their friends was a good - looking guy named Craig Wadlin, who'd gone to art school at Cooper Union and, along with six of his classmates,
formed a facetiously named collective called Art Club 2000, which sought to send up consumerism and identity politics by, among other things, taking group self - portraits of its members
