Thanks for showing some dresses up and
dressed down versions.
Friday's post was my 5 tips for dressing for an office job, and today I wanted to take that a step further with
a dressed down version.
So, here are two examples of how I've styled them recently: on the left you'll find a more casual,
dressed down version and on the right is a more polished and dressy option.
I especially love
the dressed down version I fell in love with Pink Blush during my pregnancy last year.
Obviously, I am showing
you a dressed down version of this look since I am wearing my Adidas Superstars.
Not exact matches
Similarly, since our
dressing included sauteed onion, I didn't add, but sauteed onion and garlic would be nice, though my stripped
down version was delicious and satisfying.
I decided to make some changes from the restaurant
version by cutting
down the sugar and oil in the
dressing (the
dressings in restaurant salads seem to always be the biggest culprit for unnecessary added calories), and omitting the quinoa, barley, and currants.
This Calvin Klein Collection
dress went
down the runway in black, but the brand created a custom white
version just for Rooney (it helps that she's one of the faces of their fragrances).

I spotted this lovely new

I totally fell for the J. Crew
version of this sweater — I love that I can wear it to work or
dress it
down for the weekend like you did, as most of the graphic novelty sweaters / shirts can't be worn in dressy situations.
As the place looked very peaceful to me, I wanted to
dress down and be the most casual
version of myself.

My favorite
version of gingham is a casual button
down shirt knotted at the waist with the sleeves rolled up, like this one by J. Crew (# 1), but I am totally loving dressier styles like the classic wrap
dress by DVF (# 3) and the flirty skirt and top combo by Lucy Paris (# 4).
After staring
down the
dress for the better part of a few minutes, I finally decided to give it a shot based on my success with the sweater
version.
My
dressed down winter go - to look is a copy cat
version of Sarah's, so I wanted to show you the pieces I reach for when I need to look look a little fancier but still want to stay warm.
They're comfortable, effortless, and classic, something that's an investment item and can be easily
dressed up for
down (here's a budget
version too!).
It's the grown - up
version of The Goonies, and by «grown - up» I mean the 18 - 34 year - old demographic that studios target when they produce loud and shiny entertainments featuring a blonde in a black
dress running
down a street.
