To be completely transparent, It's still
snowing here so I've been wearing them with
dresses in my house dreaming of warmer
days with the heat
on full blast and some self tanner.
Despite the fact that
snow is falling down
on most of the Northeast and Midwest today, I'd much prefer to look ahead to the coming
days where we can finally ditch our coats (again) and move towards
dresses and sunnier
days.
Well it actually
snowed here in CT
on the first
day of Spring... But that didn't stop me from pulling out my summer
dress: — RRB - Here I have layered a short sleeve
dress over a long sleeve
dress to stay warm.
I am determined to make it spring outside... I am over the slushy sidewalks, constant fear of
snow screwing up my commute and the fact that it makes me sleepier than usual (case in point I am practically falling asleep while writing this... in case you didn't know, I write my posts the night before they are published... 9/10 times I am wrapped in a towel with wet hair laying
on my bed having the constant battle in my head of whether to write the post or pass out... clearly we see what won... writing the post haha) I LOVE color year round, so it's no surprise that for one of the freezing
days at NYFW I decided to wear shades of white, blue and black (all I am missing is gold and it could potentially be #The
Dress... seriously didn't understand that whole craze for all of 24 hours haha) Anyways... Back to what I am wearing and how it can transition perfectly into the spring.
Dressing in winter for Florida could be very tricky as when rest of the country is under
snow or cold weather, people in Florida
on some
days could start their
day with low 40's and end up with pleasant high 70's in afternoon in a single
day.
First, I absolutely love skinnies and firmly believe that they are flattering
on every body type (here are the best skinny jeans for your body type), comfortable, can be worn throughout the entire year (here is my look of white skinny jeans during
snow winter
days), and can be
dressed up and down by simply switching from flats to heels.
