The Magic Bullet does double duty here, crushing the ice for easy melting and making a delicious
dressing out of lemon, anchovies and a lot of fresh garlic (a bit like fresh Caesar).

Aside from the block
of tofu and the spice blend, I also added some water and
lemon juice to this
dressing to thin it
out.
A whole head
of garlic goes into making this spicy herb sauce, which can be used as a marinade, sauce, or thinned
out with more oil and
lemon for a salad
dressing.
Lunch was quick and simple: A salad loaded with veggies fresh
out of the garden (English cucumber, Purple Cherokee tomato, and Sun Gold cherry tomatoes) drizzled with my favorite
lemon - tahini
dressing.
I made a batch
of the salad
dressing and took it
out on a 3 week sailing trip... made the recipe without
lemons or onions and also without parsley because I just didn't have those things... just tomato, mint, and
dressing and still delicious.
But when you add the honey
lemon dressing, the flavor combination is
out of this world!
Then it was
out of the skillet and onto a platter along with some sliced radishes, a chunky
lemon - pinenut
dressing, and a bit
of shaved Parmesan.
Make a
dressing out of soaked cashews, garlic,
lemon juice, and Dijon, and toss it with fresh kale and spicy chickpeas.
I didn't have a teaspoon / tablespoon measure, but after making the
dressing I ended up straining
out some
of the cumin seeds as the bite was a bit too distracting from the honey -
lemon - salty flavor which went beautifully with the salad ingredients.
I made these, excellent flavor, mine fell apart, I will wring
out zucchini in the future, served mine on a salad with
lemon and olive oil
dressing, put a dollop
of cilantro, mayo, garlic,
lemon, soy sauce, and sesame oil concoction....
The magic is in the combination
of the fresh chiles, smoke (you can swap
out smoked trout for smoked salmon, or even rotisserie chicken if you need to), and a bracing creamy
lemon dressing.
My favorite salad to eat
out of this far includes: 3 - 4 cups massaged kale, spinach and romaine in
lemon juice, with my Sweet «n» Spicy Miso
Dressing, cumin, roasted broccoli, roasted beets, diced celery and fennel, and 2 roasted purple flesh Japanese sweet potatoes or 1 extra large Garnet yam.
And as a New Englander, I knew I wanted to include a touch
of real maple syrup in the
dressing for the salad so I used fresh
lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, and Dijon mustard to balance everything
out.
When I'm
out to eat, if I'm having a salad I'll skip their pre-made
dressing but order a side
of olive oil and fresh
lemon and make my own so I don't miss the good fat, but skip the sugar and other less than ideal ingredients in the pre-made
dressing.
But when you add the honey
lemon dressing, the flavor combination is
out of this world!
