I did heed the comments about
drippy frosting, so I reduced the cream to 1/2 cup, and the frosting was thick and spreadable.
It looks absolutely delish, too — that middle layer of Oreo +
the drippy frosting, oh my!

The
frosting was good, but very
drippy and a bit of a mess.
I would
frost it the day before as well if it cools completely in time, because then the icing has a chance to set, so it's not all
drippy on your fingers... Errr fork, I mean fork.
And then there's the part where you have to let the cupcakes cool COMPLETELY (or speed up the process... I see you my fellow cupcake freeze - ers) so the
frosting doesn't melt right off in a tragic
drippy blob.
