The 2016 XF comes with multiple user - selectable driving modes — albeit through a somewhat clumsy push - button interface — that allow drivers to choose among Eco, Normal, Dynamic and a special Winter program to help you in bad weather.

Overall, it's a comfortable place to sit, but Nissan has tucked most of the buttons for the all - wheel drive system, liftgate, drive modes and driver aid systems beneath the dashboard at the driver's left knee.

A button that allows the driver to shift into the «power» mode does little to boost performance.

Two buttons on the console allow the driver to choose between «power» and «winter» driving modes.
