The French Mastiff may look like a menacing mass of wrinkles and
drooling jowls, but there's far more to this dog than meets the eye.

Some giant dogs also have large
jowls, making them
drool quite a lot (their owners usually carry a rag around to clean up all the
drool).
A simple brushing with a dense bristle or rubber brush will remove dead hairs and most debris.The loose
jowls do produce a significant amount of
drool, so keeping a towel handy is useful for wiping it away.
To get a «dry mouth» you have to intentionally be breeding for a different head and
jowl shape than a proper Newf should have (and even then, there's no guarantee a puppy won't grow up to
drool) which is a sure sign of a bad breeder and it almost guarantees that you're not really getting a Newf.
As part of the Mastiff group, these dogs have massive heads, and tend to
drool due to their hanging
jowls.
The only issue is that their loose
jowls cause them to
drool.
Saint Bernards also have
jowls, which makes them prone to
drooling.
They also
drool at the most inopportune times and experienced owners always have a damp towel with them to wipe away what collects between the
jowls or what drips to the floor.

drooling at the
jowls to have at least one of their own.
