These stay
dry pocket diapers are the quintessential one - size diaper and a must - have for any cloth diaper stash.
I was initially confused by this layer of polyester fleece since I didn't understand why polyester fleece functioned differently in hybrid fitted diapers than it did in stay -
dry pocket diapers.
However, like ALL polyester fleece products (stay -
dry pocket diapers would be included), the fleece is dyed.
Personally, I like to hang
dry my pocket diaper covers and toss my inserts in the dryer.

The waterproof outer material is sewn to an inner «Stay
Dry» material; together those two layers form a
pocket that is stuffed with the third layer, an absorbent
pocket diaper insert.
I admit that sometimes, if I'm in a rush, I machine
dry my PUL covers and
pocket diapers — and I always machine
dry my fitteds, prefolds, and inserts, and the occasional AIO
diaper that comes my way.

Microfiber should be covered by another layer, such as a
pocket diaper, you can also top microfiber with any stay
dry or natural cloth.

diapers are not a good choice for trips like these, but
pocket diapers that come with micro-inserts, or prefold

Also, some cloth
diapers, such as AIOs and
pockets, have components that must be stored
dry necessitating additional storage anyway.
You should only use microfiber in
pocket diapers and other styles of
diapers that use a stay -
dry barrier (such as fleece) between the absorbent layer and your baby's bottom.

A typical cloth -
diapered baby's
diaper bag for an outing might contain several
pocket diapers, or prefolds with snappis and covers, or some bulky all - in - ones; a box of wipes, a
dry towel, a changing pad, a large wetbag, and a couple changes of clothes in case of blowout.
Prefolds, flats, flannel receiving blankets and cotton tea towels are ideal for travel since they can be stuffed into
pocket diapers or laid inside reusable covers, and are fairly easy to hand wash and take relatively little time to
dry.
Follow your manufacturer washing instructions to make sure you don't use water that's too hot for the PUL material, and hang your

Diaper — For parents who don't like to stuff
pockets, the AIO style is a favorite.
The super soft fleece keeps the absorbent insert where it belongs so there's no bunching, it also keeps baby
dry if used as a
pocket diaper.
Stuffing from
pocket diapers should be removed prior to washing and
drying.
So I recommend pairing these with the
diaper Junction stay
dry doublers for use inside of covers or pairing them with the
diaper junction microfiber inserts and putting them inside of
pockets.
They lock in the stink and moisture from your dirty
diapers and some of them even have a
dry pocket to put extra things.
Use it as an AI2 (All in two)
diaper during the day and just change the absorbing insert when wet or stuff it and use it as a
pocket diaper to keep baby
dry at night... or use it as a
pocket diaper all the time....

I love how absorbent the inserts are and the
pocket diaper keeps my baby's bum nice and
dry.

The outside of the
pocket diaper is typically made of waterproof PUL material and the inside of a suedecloth materieal that allows moisture to pass through, but remain
dry on baby's skin.

When your cloth
diapers are repelling this means that the stay
dry liner inside your
pocket diaper is not allowing moisture to pass through into the absorbent core and if your inserts have buildup on them as well then it's a double whammy.

diapers to keep their baby
dry for a longer period of time.
The inserts also
dry quickly when line
dried but not as quickly as the inserts from my
pocket diapers.
While most
pocket diapers feature either microfleece or suedecloth as a stay -
dry barrier between the absorbent insert and your baby's bottom, Ella Bella Bum
diapers use a signature athletic wicking jersey material in a contrasting color.
Because of the two - part system,
pocket diapers dry much more quickly than all - in - ones, but all - in - ones are more convenient because they do not need to be stuffed.
While I didn't test Ella Bella Bum's inserts (I opted to use some from my own stash), this
diaper is trimmer than most - partly because it is narrower through the crotch than some other
pockets (ex: bumGenius), and partly because of the light - weight athletic wicking jersey inner stay -
dry layer.
