The only thing the galaxy SII had going for it was a slightly faster processor then other similar
dual core phones out of the box.

and now have the Captivate and the Dell streak so the game play capabilities and touchwiz mixed with a larger screen like my streak would be the perfect
phone... I only hope Samsung smartens up and comes
out with a new model with a
dual core in it... A 4.5 inch screen is the happy medium for me... The streak is nice however is a pain sometimes when I don't have big pockets or a jacket on... This
phone seems large however not so big that is can't be carried around... After having the Dell Steak for a while... a 4 inch screen seems so small when surfing the web or watching movies... Hopefully there will be a big enough demand for 4.5 to 5 inch screens to push samsung to produce another
dual core version.
I think the only reason why the T - Mobile Galaxy SII processor wasn't announced was to compete with the upcoming HTC Ruby
phone also coming
out which will have a 1.5 Ghz
dual core processor, so if the Galay SII is gonna be the flagship
phone for T - Mobile, they need to bump up the processor to be competitive with the HTC Ruby.
At the end of the week, One Mobile Ring reported that Motorola has announced a
dual -
core mobile
phone, Acer produced a second Android BlackBerry clone, Huawei announced a new Android mobile where Acer has brought
out a cut - down Liquid Android handset.
They may be «behind the curve» but they aren't stupid enough to release a device that is anything short of
dual core (not because the device may necessarily require it, but for the retards
out there who buy a
phone specifically on what a spec sheet dictates and not on the experience).
so lets get this straight, No upgraded Hummingbird (at least the 1.2 ghz version, doesn't really have to be
dual core), No Super Amoled plus, No 8 mega pixel camera, No 2.3 gingerbread, because by the time this
phone comes
out we will be a couple months away from honeycomb

out so when you are browsing the web certain things don't look good on it the brightness on the mytouch4g sucks if your outside you have to put the brigthness all the way up knowing thats going to kill my battery it's not as fast and snappy I want it to be don't get me wrong the mytouch4g is a sexy lookin
phone I love the front facing camera and the flash it takes really good pictures is a great
phone but it has its flaws it does it have nothin on the LG G2X it leave it in DUST but the htc pyramid give it some work the only difference is the 4.3 inch screen & the HD screen new HTC UI 3.0 1.2

It really wouldn't make sense for them to come
out with flagship
phone with
dual core right around the corner.
There's a lot of high end
phones out there from
dual -
core to quad -
core processors, vibrant, rich displays, 1 GB or more of RAM, NFC and all sorts of other goodies, but with those higher specs comes a higher price tag.
This
phone should be coming
out in time to battle against the Atrix, Bionic, Thunderbolt, etc... In September this
phone won't hold a candle to some of the
dual core offering that will be available, including a HTC
dual core snapdragon...
Backing in to the Windows
Phone 7 news were the plans that LG are bringing
out dual core processor
phones, based on Nvidia Tegra 2 later on this year in their Optimus range of handsets.
Seeing as how this comes
out at the end of this year, I'm kind of «meh» about this device, especially considering more powerful,
dual -
core android
phones and tablets will have access to the same suite of games and will arrive much earlier.

I do take your point and that logic works for companies like samsung, LG etc which have brand value and people are willing to shell
out money even for a
dual / quad
core phone.
We won't be seeing Tegra -4-level processing power
out of either of these
phones, with the five - incher getting a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm SoC that's only
dual -
core (though exactly which chip, we just don't know yet), and the 4.7 - incher fares even less favorably, outfitted with a 1.2 GHz
dual -
core MediaTek component.
