As you survive using clever tactics and
powerful magic, you will progress through a vast
dungeon unlocking new locations, discovering hidden areas, completing quests, finding treasure, obtaining new gear and killing
bosses.
There is also an additional system worth noting that allows you to do even more damage to your opponents because some
dungeon bosses are just too damn stubborn and
powerful for their own good.
For randomly encountered enemies, an auto - battle feature often takes care of baddies efficiently, while more challenging fights against
bosses and FOEs, enemies found throughout
dungeons that are often more
powerful than you, require you to use your character's skills more efficiently.
Raids are the pinnacle of the PvE game: lengthy, six - person
dungeons with obscure or complicated mechanics and
powerful bosses.
You need to figure out how best to defeat enemies with your various equipment & abilities so that you'll become
powerful enough to defeat more difficult enemies and eventually defeat the
boss (or
bosses) of the
dungeon.
It's no walk in the park, but the immersive
dungeon crawling and challenging foes that stand between you and your objectives will keep you engaged, and taking down a
boss who trounced you on your previous trek into the heart of a
dungeon feels tremendously satisfying when you ultimately persevere, claiming their Blood Crystal for your own, which you can then use to unlock
powerful Divinity abilities by offering it to one of the game's three godly vessels, making your otherworldly avatar even more
powerful.
Set in a dark fantasy world called Garindak, the player must engage in combat using either melee weapons or spells, solve puzzles, take on
powerful boss monsters and explore
dungeons, avoiding traps along the way.
Exploring every nook and cranny and exhausting every facet of the game's content will take you upwards of 150 hours, and easily more, but you'll walk away with quite a few goodies, like the half a dozen or so alternate outfits for each character and insanely
powerful weapons (which are required if you hope to take on the game's post-endgame super
dungeon and
bosses therein).
