I could get past the horribly designed «raid»
dungeons after you beat the game (Not talking about The Pitioss Ruins, that was fun / challenging, sometimes annoying with clunky controls but different and rewarding in the end)

After beating the
game, you unlock more content, including endings, bosses, and optional
dungeons, but most of that is in relation to preparations for getting all of the True Endings.
After finishing my read I will agree with the review, it is a really good
game, but the ability to do any
dungeon at will is just pointless, like you, I want to get a new item at the end of a
dungeon, a piece of heart is all well and good, but it doesn't
beat the sense of achievement on actually getting the next item on your list so you can start blowing up all the cracks in walls you have seen etc..
After beating the
game, players can gain access to the bonus
dungeon: Estark's Labyrinth, where the party can test their skills against an ancient demon sealed away by Nimzo out of fear.
This
game was also the first of the Dragon Quest series to offer real post-
game content with an entire extra
dungeon available
after beating the
game and a hidden boss, Esturk, to challenge the battle acumen of the players further.
