Results showed that accurate
recognition of facial expressions of negative
emotions (anger, contempt, disgust, fear, and sadness) predicted less conflict engaging behaviors
during conflict with their romantic partners (but not positive problem solving and withdrawal), which in turn predicted greater relationship satisfaction.
