I didn't know any better my first time around at the
hospital during my first birth: IV, hospital gown, birth plan, asking questions so your needs are met.
After feeling pressures and judgment I felt at the
hospital during my first birth, a more holistic approach at home seemed to be the perfect birth atmosphere for me.
If mom and baby are both doing well, at least 3 hours of
pushing during first births and at least 2 hours of pushing during second (and later) births should be considered normal.
Basically, even though Hyp - birth includes much more in depth hypnosis techniques than regular hypnobirthing, it still didn't have the two things I found to be
missing during my first birth.
I felt less pain than
during my first birth, and while some might say it's because subsequent labors are shorter and therefore less painful, I think the tub played the bigger role.
