If you know me, you know potty training is by far my least favorite parenting
duty after sleep training.

On the «soul
sleep» kind of thing, I remember when I was about 19 or so talking to a physician, off
duty, and saying that it must be terrible for someone in a coma to wake up
after a long coma and somehow being aware of this long time where they only had their brain and no connection to the world.
Sometimes
after I've been on bedtime
duty, I practically stagger down the stairs, disorientated from an uncomfortable 10 - minute
sleep on the floor or grumpy with hunger and the weight of the things I had planned, but will not get to do, for my evening.
This was an intentional choice, since I'd wager that sharing the
sleep duties just might be the most important thing a man can do for his partner during
sleep training (or before or
after or in between).
A December 2008 Institute of Medicine report on resident
duty hours says physicians should be getting at least 5 hours of continuous
sleep after 16 hours of work.
But
after that its your
duty to select best one of them and ready for
sleep with you.
Looking
after them are are two custodians, Bauer (Reedus) and Cartwright (Djimon Hounsou), who are awoken from their own cryogenic
sleep for two hours every six months to carry out their
duties.
Sometimes they're awake till
after 8:30, just talking to themselves or singing quietly or yelling for water, hugs, and all manner of attempts to prolong the inevitable, but it doesn't matter because they're in their
sleep space and I'm off parenting
duty.
