Nigel Smith, Head of Content, FutureLearn, said: «We're very proud to be working with the University of Lancaster on this initiative; we're aware that
dyslexic students are
often exempted from studying languages, so we're delighted to be able to support teachers to be able to cater for individuals with these learning difficulties.
Those groups say that the specific needs of
students with dyslexia are too
often glossed over, because educators don't know enough about the disorder, or that they lump
dyslexic students along with struggling learners who may have different challenges.
