Though Kobo's
apps for iPad and iPhone have earned strong
reviews and millions of downloads, and though the Kobo
app comes preloaded on several of the Android tablets that have made it to market (not to mention the BlackBerry Playbook), the company's internal analysis shows that the people who buy several books a month are reading them on
e-readers, whatever tablets and smartphones they also happen to own.
They do have page turn buttons sure, but it has been my experience with Android driven
e-readers (by
reviewing them all) that the page turn buttons work with the default e-reading
app and select
apps from the Android market.
Whenever someone leaves a written
review, its automatically populated in their
e-readers, tablets,
apps or websites.
Good
e-Reader is proud to unleash the latest feature to our Android and Blackberry
App Store, ratings and
reviews.
But this is being touted as more than an
e-reader and there is no mention of how this device works with
apps, web navigation, mail, etc??? It seems like the
review above is only half a
review....
Aldiko offers fewer configuration options than the other
apps, but if you want to use an
e-reader for PDF files, it's the most economical of the four
reviewed here, as it's the only one that supports PDF files in a free edition.
