Several qualitative studies among Korean elders who have
lost their spouses (Choi & Lee, 2000; Kim & Han, 1996) have reported that widowers were more willing to remarry regardless of age, whereas widows > 65 years of age were more
eager to cohabit with their
children for the rest of their lives.
