So there's an
eager audience
out there for good books and it's the same challenge over and over again: finding a great new voice, a book with a terrific idea, and connecting with
readers.
Those
readers may start
out reading one book, but will be
eager for your next one, and the one after that.
Figure
out how you would go about helping it get sold to your
eager readers.

When I first started
out and had no money to spend, I did my own covers (or enlisted
eager friends), did my own formatting, used beta
readers and friends for editing, and my only expense was in pizza, beer, my proofs, copies for friends and betas, and marketing efforts.
If a die - hard
reader was
eager enough to find this blurb and read it, they found
out about your new book, wrote it down, and then ran to their local library or bookstore to check it
out or, hopefully, buy it.
Most indie authors are
eager to help each other
out, but few have been effective at actually reaching young adult
readers and selling a lot of books (but I know a bunch of YA authors who are selling over 20K books a month, and I plan to interview them soon!)

readers to help
out when Howey's new AuthorEarnings.com site was crashed by
eager newcomers.
If
readers are
eager to check
out a new bestseller or read the next book in a popular series, many will opt to make a purchase instead of waiting.
