He is not a giant like a Newfie but is still a pretty big dog, in the 60 - 80 pound range, and has a short coat so does not require any special grooming -
if your kids want to take him for winter activities he needs to wear a coat, and don't forget the
ear muffs and mittens.

If you already own a pair of in - ears that give good noise isolation, if you add a set of hearing protector type ear muffs, it's an effective compromise with (supposedly) great sounding results, since the muffs don't interact with the sound signature of the IEM...
