While we may believe in the Holy Spirit as a manifestation of God's presence in the world, we sometimes wonder if the church's
early theologians invented this connection as an explanation of the continuity between Jesus and themselves, and if this invention didn't in turn and inadvertently lead to orthodox formulations
about the Trinity that belied the Spirit's reality, much as the Kinsey Report misleads readers
about the real
joy and meaning of sex.
If we had asked the
early Christians themselves
about the source of their
joy and power, they would have answered without any hesitation that it lay not in themselves at all — not in their attainments, not even in their faith — but in God.
Ok, much of our disappointment
earlier in the season was offset by the
joy and hilarity of the Spurs League position reversal but what
about comparing our final League position of 2nd place with the position at the start of the season where every book - maker and media pundit expected us to finish — in 3rd place.

about the absolute
joy I feel in parenting my
early teens these days.
It's even more exciting knowing you're
about to be a mother, but when your baby arrives
earlier than expected, those feelings of
joy and excitement can be washed away completely, and be replaced with fear and anxiety.
My six year old son and three year old daughter have also taught me so much
about the intense
joys and challenges of parenting, and I've developed a passion for helping other parents navigate these

If I get them, I would not be able to wear them until late October /
early November and it would be something that I would wear only four months a year (not 8 months as it might be your case), and I said that after having to replace
about half of my shoes last year, footwear was not going to be a priority this year, BUT in my defense, I have only one other pair of booties (an old black pair with a three - inch heel that I don't wear that often), metallic footwear has been a workhorse for me and the light color (as opposed to black) makes me think they a good option for my mild winters, and they would provide a lot of
joy per wear.

Deadpool 2 is the sort of movie where the heroes kill a guy — after spending the last act of the film saving that guy so one of the characters will learn a moral lesson — all in the hopes of scoring a quick laugh derived from the
joys of knocking off religious zealots, while also using time travel during the mid-credits scene to erase a death that took place
earlier in the film so as to avoid outraged howls from Internet folks
about the wickedness of «fridging» tertiary female characters.
It is just the most amazing thing to watch: «The World's End» becomes a totally different kind of movie
about halfway through — intense, paranoid, violent — yet maintains the dry, rapid - fire wit that made its
earlier scenes such a
joy to watch.
This weekend might be all
about Black Panther, Marvel's much - anticipated, 18th entry in its ten - years - and - counting cinematic universe, but that's no reason to ignore the other visually expansive, comedic delight arriving in in multiplexes: Oscar - winner Nick Park's (Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit) latest foray into stop - motion wizardry (his first as sole director),
