Trust me, I honestly do get it but it wouldn't be
something that I would ask families unless I knew all the benefits of an
earlier bedtime.
Moving his
bedtime up by one hour
earlier seemed to help immensely, as did putting a light - up / musical toy that he could turn on himself (without standing or sitting up, like
something attached to the crib slats).
If there are other things that contribute to bad sleep (like Daddy - Max Dance Party or
something similar that gets Max all riled up), those could switch to morning or very
early afternoon so they aren't still having an effect by
bedtime.
Just because your immunity is not
something you can entirely control doesn't mean you should abandon your
early bedtime or start loading up on junk food.
